Actor Kiran to do character roles

The sexy siren of Kollywood, Kiran Rathod, is now busy shooting for the movie Naalai Namadhey, where she plays the role of a sex worker Sarasu, who feeds orphan children through her profession. The south bombshell has shed a lot of weight recently and looks apt for the role of a prostitute. The buxom glamour doll, Kiran, is very much excited about her role in Naalai Namadhey and said that she accepted to play this role as the movie is centered around her and it talks about the plight of the orphans. Let's hope that Kiran is attactive in a character role like she was when she was doing sexy glamour roles.

Bomb shell Mumtaz sheds glam doll image for Rajathi raja

The glam doll of Tamil cinema, Mumtaz, will be seen with more clothes on in the movie "Rajathi Raja" which has Ragava Lawerence playing the lead character. Mumtaz will be one of the six heroines in this movie and she will be playing a character role of a politician (Minister). The film by Sakthi Chidambaram will bring a total make over in Mumtaz's role and she will be needed to emote a lot in the film. Mumtaz's fans who wished to see her as a politician, will be happy that their dream has come true, at leastr in reel life. Mohanlal's Kurukshetra sets the cash registers ringing

The much awaited war movie in recent times, Major Ravi's Kurukshetra has released in over 114 centers across the State and the first day's collection of over 90 lakhs is testimony to the fact that Keralites will accept good movies with warmth and affection. The entire cast and crew of Kurukshetra will be very happy seeing the tremendrous response that they are receiving from the public. Major Ravi has neatly presented the situation during the Kargil war in the movie and Mohanla, as Colonel Mahadevan, has played his part to pin point perfection. The movie is produced by Santosh Damodaran under the banner of Damodar Films and actors Biju Menon, Suraj Venjaranmoodu, Siddique and Cochin Haneefa are also in the star cast.

Real Father and Son to come together as reel father and son

The very famous real life father and son duo of actor, screenplay writer Sreenivasan and singer Vineeth Sreenivasan is all set to act in a Seven Arts International produced film which will be directed by V.M. Vinu. There will be huge expectations from this father-son duo as far as this film is concerned and the director V.M. Vinu, whose last film "Yes Your Honour" was also with Sreenivasan, will be fully prepared to bing the best out of the two actors on screen. Sreenivasan is slated to play the father's role of Vineeth in the yet to be titled malayalam movie.

"Murattu Kaalai" remake in the offing

There has been news filtering through that Kalaignar TV is co-producing a Sundar. C- Sneha starrer remake of the smash hit 80's movie "Murattu Kaalai" along with first time producer Gunanidhi, grandson of Chief Minister Karunanidhi. The movie is slated to be directed by Selvabharathy. The film is yet to be titled and the villain role will be played by Suman, who did a fabulous job as the villain in the recent Rajini flick "Sivaji". The crowd puller comedian Vivek will be taking care of the comedy department in the movie and Actor & director Sundar.C will be playing the lead role. Let's all hope that this movie is a rolling success like "Murattu Kaalai".
